So you just got your Zune player and you are excited and ready to download music but you’re not sure what to do or where to go? Well this article will show you how to download music to your Zune player and review the different download options.
Downloading your favorite CD to your Zune player is really simple. First put your CD in your computer and open your media player. Then click on the song that you would like to copy to your Zune. Click on Rip and save the song in your music library using one of the following extension (.wma, .wmv, .mp3, .jpg, .mp4, .m4v, .m4a, .m4b, .mov). Plug in your Zune player into your computer via the USB cable. The Zune software will automatically search for music that is saved with the above file extensions. If you set the sync option by default when you installed the software all the music in your media library will automatically be copied to you Zune player when you plug it in to your computer. If not you will need to sync your files manually in order to get your music on the zune player.
The wonderful thing about the Zune player is that you can pull music from all kinds of sources. The most popular option is to download songs from a website. Websites offer two options for downloading songs. The first option is to pay a fee per song (usually $0.99 a song) and the second allows you to sign up for a membership and get unlimited downloads. Membership to these websites can range from $14 – $40 and your membership can last a few months or up to a lifetime.
The most economic way to download is to purchase a membership to a website. You will defiantly save money in the long run because paying $0.99 for a song can get very expensive if you are downloading a lot of songs. Most memberships offer access to the latest songs and they have millions of songs to choose from. Also some memberships offer access to videos, movies, games, tv shows and more.
Downloading to your Zune is as simple as clicking a few buttons and picking your favorite songs. Whether downloading music from your favorite CD or by purchasing a membership to a website these steps will allow you download your favorite tunes to your Zune.
Happy listening!

Make Music For Free
Things are changing. At one time you would have to spend a fortune to be able to make music.
Not Any More.
The internet has grown over the past 10 years or so and has opened the world up to many possibilities, including free music software available to download within a few clicks. Some free software is not only on the internet, they are also given away on magazine covers too. So the possibilities are endless with many websites and web communities now appearing that delve into the world of computer music composition.
Sequencers
Decent free sequencers are hard to find online, but don’t be downhearted, if you can get a copy of a magazine published in the UK called “Computer Music” there are actually two of them on the cover CD as part of their Studio software collection.
Virtual Instrument and Effects Plugins
This is an area that has exploded in the music world. Free virtual instruments and effects plugins are everywhere on the internet. Even some of the big name developers have gotten in on the act of giving away some of their products.
But, I find that the best place to go for a decent plugin is KVR Audio. KVR Audio is a huge website with an online community as well as its huge database of Virtual Instruments and Effects plugins.
Audio Editor
There is only one audio editor that I would recommend, and that’s Audacity. Audacity is the most popular open source audio editor available and is pride of place in my audio setup.
So, there you have it. All the information you need to start making music without having to pay for the software. Although, I would say you should really buy a more decent sequencer than a free one as they are much better and have more tools available.
But, then you may be the first one to ever get a hit record using free software alone.
Free Concerts – Dance, Sing, and Swing
Do you know where to go for wonderful free entertainment? Do you love music and dancing? Do you like to meet new people? Do you look for places the entire family can be entertained? If the answer is yes, read on.
Summer is here in full swing. We’ve had a heat wave that could melt butter and fry and egg without trying. It’s time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors in the early evening when the heat dies down.
I just came from a free concert in my area. They are all over the city on different days and areas. They are at the beaches on the weekends and they rock and roll and attract hundreds of music lovers at each gig.
The park I was in tonight had a great band and singer. They sang various songs and played music going back to the 40′s and worked its way up the ladder ending with popular now music.
It was wonderful watching the people clap their hands and dance in their chairs if they were not out on the dance floor. It was a wonderful evening and the whole family was throughly entertained.
The children dance and run around the park having a great time. The children can dance with their moms and dads and other children. It is a wonderful, positive family fun time together.
They have a short intermission and have a drawing. There were three wonderful baskets to choose from or you could have chosen all three baskets to win in the drawing. All you needed was the right ticket.
Every week there is a different band and singer at numerous parks and beaches around town. The admission is free. You can bring your own food if you like. It is a wonderful time for the family to spend time together.
If you do not have any free concerts in your state start them. They are a wonderful way for the community and family to reach out to each other.
